A Bit About Mac.

Hi my name is Mac, and I love fitness, dancing, and most of all, experiencing the process and witnessing the magic of human effort and striving.

My fitness journey began very early in life when my parents enrolled me in many sports and activities starting at the age of 3. Swimming, soccer, skiing, gymnastics, cross country, track and field and multiple dance forms are a few of the activities I was lucky enough to enjoy throughout my childhood, adolescents and early adult years. While I loved each of these activities, I truly fell in love with competitive Irish dancing, so much so that I danced until I won the World Championships, and then I danced some more!

My life as an elite competitive dancer has been the most wonderful gift, but it has come with its own set of challenges. Among these challenges was the fact that when I was young, there was no built in cross training plan in Irish dance training. While I became quite fit simply from dancing, I also became curious about the supplemental ways in which I could improve my physical training to give myself that competitive edge I craved.

This curiosity inspired me to learn from various health and fitness professionals specializing in different areas, develop my own personal strategies which I have tested rigorously through my own training, and to eventually obtain my personal training certification.

With my unique background in competition and training, I would love to help you move closer to realizing your goals, wherever you are in your fitness or athletic journey.
